James Quertermous, MD, FAAD, FACMS

James Quertermous, MD, FAAD, FACMSDr. Quertermous is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic and reconstructive surgeon. He graduated summa cum laude from Samford University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Spanish. After college, he attended medical school at the University of Louisville where he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Following medical school, he completed an internship at Rush University Medical Center and subsequently completed his dermatology residency training at the University of Michigan Health System. Dr. Quertermous practiced general dermatology in the northern suburbs of Chicago for two years before completing a vigorous fellowship in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at Loma Linda University Medical Center. Shortly after finishing his fellowship, he served as Clinical Assistant Professor at Loyola University Medical Center for the Medical and Surgical Dermatology department.

Dr. Quertermous is a native of Kentucky. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, traveling, playing sports, and engaging in various outdoor activities.
